Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") set forth the conditions for using ChainCam (hereinafter referred to as "this app"). By using this app, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
Article 1 (Application)
- These Terms are intended to define the rights and obligations between the Company and Users regarding the use of this app, and shall apply to all relationships related to the use of this app between Users and the Company.
- Individual terms of use posted by the Company on this app shall constitute part of these Terms.
- In case of discrepancy between the contents of these Terms and the individual terms of use mentioned in the preceding paragraph, the individual terms of use shall take precedence.
Article 2 (Definitions)
In these Terms, the following terms shall have the following definitions:
- "Company": means ChainCam Inc.
- "User": means an individual who uses this app
- "This App": means the ChainCam application and related services
- "Content": means information such as videos, audio, images, and text
- "Intellectual Property Rights": means copyrights, patent rights, trademark rights, and other intellectual property rights
Article 3 (Overview of This App)
- This app is a recording and editing application that creates videos by connecting short clips.
- The main functions of this app are as follows:
- Video recording and capture functionality
- Multiple clip combining and editing functionality
- Video export and sharing functionality
- Project management functionality
Article 4 (User Registration)
- This app can be used by downloading it from an app store.
- In registering for use, Users shall provide true, accurate, complete, and current information.
Article 5 (Usage Fees)
- This app can be used free of charge for basic functionality.
- For some features, we offer the following paid plans:
- Premium Monthly Plan: 500 yen per month
- Individual Feature Purchase: One-time purchase price for each feature
- Payment is made through the App Store/Google Play payment system.
- Fees may be changed with prior notice.
Article 6 (Prohibited Acts)
Users shall not engage in any of the following acts when using this app:
- Legal violations: Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
- Criminal-related acts: Acts related to criminal activities
- Rights infringement: Acts that infringe on the intellectual property rights, portrait rights, privacy rights, etc. of the Company, other Users, or third parties
- Nuisance acts: Acts that cause disadvantage, damage, or discomfort to the Company, other Users, or third parties
- System interference: Acts that interfere with the operation of this app
- Unauthorized access: Unauthorized access to the systems of this app
- Reverse engineering: Acts of analyzing, modifying, copying, etc. of this app
- Commercial use: Using this app for commercial purposes without prior written consent from the Company
Article 7 (Handling of Content)
- User-created Content: The copyright of content created by Users in this app belongs to the Users.
- Content Responsibility: Users shall take full responsibility for the content they create and post.
- License Grant: By creating and sharing content in this app, Users grant the Company a non-exclusive right to use such content for service provision.
Article 8 (Privacy)
The Company shall handle User information obtained through the use of this app in accordance with the separately defined Privacy Policy.
Article 9 (Service Content Changes and Suspension)
- The Company may change the content of this app or suspend its provision without prior notice to Users.
- The Company may suspend or interrupt all or part of this app without prior notice to Users in the following cases:
- When conducting regular or emergency system maintenance
- When provision becomes difficult due to force majeure such as fire, power outage, natural disasters, etc.
- In other cases where the Company deems suspension or interruption necessary
Article 10 (Intellectual Property Rights)
- All intellectual property rights related to this app and this app belong to the Company or those who have licensed the Company.
- The license to use this app under these Terms does not mean permission to use the intellectual property rights of the Company or those who have licensed the Company related to this app.
Article 11 (Usage Restrictions and Account Suspension)
- The Company may restrict the use of this app or suspend accounts without prior notice if Users fall under any of the following:
- When violating any provision of these Terms
- When it is found that there are false facts in the registration information
- In other cases where the Company deems the use of this app inappropriate
Article 12 (Disclaimer and Exemption)
- The Company does not guarantee, whether express or implied, that this app has completeness, accuracy, reliability, usefulness, etc.
- The Company shall not be liable for any damages caused to Users or third parties through the use of this app. However, this disclaimer shall not apply when the Consumer Contract Act applies.
Article 13 (Support)
- The Company provides support for this app through the following methods:
- Email: texia.apps+chaincam@gmail.com
- Business hours: Weekdays 9:00-18:00 (excluding weekends and holidays)
- To improve support quality, inquiry contents may be recorded and stored.
Article 14 (Terms Changes)
- The Company may change these Terms without obtaining User consent if it serves the general benefit of Users or if the changes to these Terms do not cause particular disadvantage to Users.
- When changing these Terms under the preceding paragraph, the Company shall notify Users of the content in advance.
Article 15 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
- These Terms shall be governed by Japanese law.
- In case of disputes regarding this app, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company's head office shall be the exclusive agreed jurisdiction.
Supplementary Provisions
These Terms shall come into effect from August 8, 2025.
These Terms of Service are written in English. If there are differences between this and other language versions, the English version takes precedence for this English page, and the Japanese version takes precedence for the Japanese page.
